Kavin Shanmugam is a senior from South Windsor High School. He has been part of FBLA for four years, serving as the SWHS FBLA President since 2021 and on the CT FBLA State Council to the President in 2020 and 2021. Kavin has also served as his chapter's Vice President and as his chapter’s Historian. Kavin has placed first in Intro. to Business and Intro. to Business Procedures at the CT SLC in 2020 and 2021, respectively, and has placed second in the state for Insurance and Risk Management in 2022. Furthermore, Kavin has been invited to the National Leadership Conference for the last three years, placing 10th nationally in Intro. To Business Procedures in 2021. Outside of FBLA, Kavin competes in Science Olympiad, plays the viola, and enjoys watching movies with his family.
Joseph Biju is a Senior at South Windsor high school serving as the eastern region Vice President for CT FBLA. He has been involved in FBLA since his freshman year and has enjoyed organizing charity events, connecting with business leaders across South Windsor, and spending time with his local chapter. Joseph attended the 2022 NLC and was able to meet many new faces not only across our state but the entire country. He has placed in healthcare administration, earned two BAA awards, and serves as his chapter co-president. Joseph is excited to apply the knowledge and skillset he has learned from his experiences with his teachers and peers. He is ready to expand, empower, and achieve with Connecticut FBLA.
Advait Maheshwari is a Senior at Wilton High School in Fairfield County, serving as the Vice President for CT FBLA. He has been involved in FBLA since his freshman year, has organized multiple fundraising events, and dedicates lots of time to build his local chapter. Advait placed 4th in Business Law during his sophomore year and attended the virtual National Leadership Conference in 2021. He has also earned three BAA Awards and has been his local chapter President for the past two years; before that, he served as the Treasurer for one year. Outside of FBLA, Advait is the President of his local DECA, Stock Club, and Captain of the Math, PUMaC, and HMMT teams. He also plays recreational tennis. Advait looks forward to working with many local CT chapters to expand and grow CT FBLA.
Jackson Fiore is a Senior at Ridgefield High School and is serving as the 22-23 State Secretary for CT FBLA. He has been involved in FBLA since his sophomore year and has overseen his chapter's membership grow three fold. After serving as his chapter’s social media chair his Junior year, he now serves as his chapter’s president. Jackson placed 2nd in Business Ethics as a Junior and competed in the 2022 National Leadership Conference in Chicago. Outside of FBLA, Jackson is Ridgefield High’s Student Body Vice President, Mock Trial Captain, Swim Team Captain, Violinist, and Rotary’s Next Generations state conference Student Director. Jackson also has a keen interest in graphic design, and hopes to implore such through his management of CT FBLA’s socials by connecting with local chapters.
Sai Koppu is a senior at South Windsor High School (SWHS). He has been involved with FBLA for four years now and will be his third year serving for SWHS. Sai placed 3rd in Computer Problem Solving in 2022 and has earned the BAA Future Award in 2021 as well. He was invited to the National Leadership Conference in 2022 and campaigned for the role of National Secretary as well. Outside of FBLA, Sai is the Founder and CEO of 24/7Tech, a content-creation business with over 5,000,000 impressions regarding the latest technology. Sai is the current President of the SWHS CS Club, Science Bowl A-Team, and enjoys running STRYVE Learning as a co-founder every summer.
